Tinubu Initiates Reconciliation Talks Between Kwankwaso and Ganduje for 2027

President Bola Tinubu has embarked on a diplomatic mission to reconcile the National Leader of the NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, setting the stage for his anticipated second-term bid in 2027.

Having communicated his reconciliation intention separately to both leaders, President Tinubu granted them time to inform their respective stakeholders before reconvening at a later date to finalize the reconciliation process.

In recent engagements, President Tinubu convened with Ganduje and select APC stakeholders from Kano State last Thursday, followed by a meeting with Kwankwaso on Sunday. Plans are underway for a reconciliation session personally chaired by President Tinubu, where the two former governors of Kano State are expected to bring two representatives each.

As part of the reconciliation process, Ganduje has been tasked with meeting APC stakeholders in Kano on Thursday, kickstarting efforts to consolidate unity of purpose among them. These diplomatic efforts signify President Tinubu's strategic moves as he lays the groundwork for his political aspirations in 2027.
