Court of Appeal Set to Rule on Kaduna Governorship Election Dispute Today

The eagerly anticipated resolution to the Kaduna State governorship election dispute is set to unfold this Friday, November 24, as the Court of Appeal prepares to render its decision. The case, initiated by Ashiru Kudan and the People's Democratic Party (PDP), challenges the declared victory of Senator Uba Sani and the All Progressives Congress (APC) party.

The electoral tussle began with a complaint filed by Ashiru Kudan and the PDP at the Election Tribunal Court, contesting the outcome of the Kaduna governorship election. The lower court's decision on September 28 resulted in in favor of APC, prompting them to escalate the matter to the Court of Appeal.

As the legal battle unfolded in the appellate court, the stakes remained high, with both parties presenting their arguments and evidence to contest the lower court's ruling.

This case is part of a broader trend where the Court of Appeal has been actively adjudicating governorship election disputes across Nigeria. The judgments rendered in these cases have not only shaped the political landscape but also garnered widespread attention from citizens throughout the country.
