Armed Gunmen Raid Mpape Community, Abduct Chief and Residents

In a brazen attack on Wednesday night, a group of armed gunmen targeted the Mpape community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The assailants, numbering approximately 30, struck around 9 pm in the Government Reserved Area (GRA) on the outskirts of town.

The assailants reportedly raided at least six houses, including the palace of the chief of the GRA community. Tragically, one resident lost their life during the attack, while the chief and eight others were abducted in the horrifying incident.

Local authorities and law enforcement agencies have launched an immediate investigation into the incident, working to apprehend the perpetrators and secure the safe release of the abducted individuals.
