Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has denied allegations of acquiring a N300 million Armoured Lexus LX600 SUV upon assuming office.

"I've come across the rumors circulating on social media about the FCTA Permanent Secretary purchasing a N300 million bulletproof car that I'm supposedly using. I urge you all to tap on the car and verify whether it's indeed bulletproof."

"I sincerely ask everyone to exercise caution and avoid tarnishing the reputation of others," he stated.

Wike clarified that upon assuming his position, the FCTA Permanent Secretary, Adesola Olusade, informed him that the ministry had provided cars for use by the ministers.

"The vehicle I am currently using is a regular Lexus SUV," he pointed out.

"I have never granted approval for the purchase of any vehicle, and I have not utilized any official bulletproof car."

"As the FCT Minister, I am not utilizing a bulletproof vehicle. It is crucial that we accurately report information to avoid causing harm within our community."
