Edo Government Claims Shaibu's Exit Was an Attempt to Disrupt Obaseki's Event

The Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Osa Nehikhare, has clarified the abrupt departure of Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, from the venue of the 60th anniversary of the Midwest referendum event organized by the state government.

Nehikhare stated that Shaibu's actions were an endeavor to undermine Governor Obaseki and disrupt the occasion, but these efforts were unsuccessful.

He mentioned that Shaibu had arrived with an unauthorized media team, whereas the government's media aide was present at the event.
